Michigan\/Dearborn, USA, zikanov(at)umich.edu ) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n    ******************************************************** <\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\" type=\"I\">\n<li><a name=\"msg2\"><\/a> <strong>HYDROMAG PRIZE<\/strong> <br \/>\n        &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br \/>\n        (from Alban Potherat, Coventry, UK ) <\/p>\n<p>\nThe <strong>HYDROMAG<\/strong> association for Hydromagnetic phenomena and its applications  (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hydromag.eu\/\"><span style=\"color:#333333;\">http:\/\/www.hydromag.eu<\/span><\/a>) is pleased to announce the first <strong>Hydromag Best Poster Prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The prize consists of a personal gratification of 500&euro;, awarded for the best poster presented at the PAMIR conference (Cagliari, 20-24 June 2016). The competition was open to all researchers under 35  years of age, who are first author of a poster accepted for display during the conference. The winner was decided based on the originality, significance and rigour of the work presented. The decision  was made by the members of the HYDROMAG committee present at the PAMIR conference.<\/p>\n<p>This edition of the prize was generously funded by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coventry.ac.uk\/\"><span style=\"color:#333333;\">Coventry University (UK)<\/span><\/a> and was awarded to  <strong>Ms Franziska Karnbach<\/strong> (Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research, Dresden, Germany) for her poster &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/aa3025.duckdns.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamir2016_karnbach.pdf\"><span style=\"color:#333333;\">Influence of Magnetic Fields on the Behavior of Single Hydrogen Bubbles Generated via Water Electrolysis<\/span><\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to make Hydromag Prize a tradition, presented at a key MHD-related conferences in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\nCongratulations Franziska!<br \/>\nThe HYDROMAG Committee\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n    ******************************************************** <\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\" type=\"I\">\n<li><a name=\"msg3\"><\/a> <strong>MHD TEAMS<\/strong><br \/>\n      &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br \/>\n      (from Alex Pedcenko, Coventry, UK) <br \/>\n      <!---Message starts here--><\/p>\n<p>\n\t  Within a scope of further development of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hydromag.eu\/\">HYDROMAG website<\/a> and promoting a visibility of<br \/>\n\t  magnetohydrodynamics and its applications we would like to introduce a new section to our website dedicated to the <b>research teams<\/b> across the globe, which deal with MHD-related subjects.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to invite the subscribers of Hydromag Newsletter to send us (a.pedcenko(at)coventry.ac.uk, subj: MHD-Teams) brief profiles of their teams.<br \/>\n\t  Published profiles will be grouped by the following hierarchy: Country\/Institution\/Department\/Group.
