Scope and Goals<\/h3>\n

We are happy to invite you to participate in the 17th MHD Days hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in G\u00f6ttingen. As in previous years, the meeting aims at bringing together researchers working on general issues of magnetohydrodynamics, plasma physics, and related experiments.<\/p>\n

Theoretical, numerical, and observational results from the above-mentioned fields all belong to the scope of the meeting.<\/p>\n

15th of August:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Registration and abstract submission opens<\/p>\n

18th of October:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Last day for special hotel reservation<\/p>\n

1st of November:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Abstract deadline<\/p>\n

16th of November:\u00a0\u00a0 Registration deadline<\/p>\n

30th of November:\u00a0\u00a0 Start of the meeting<\/p>\n

Registration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A registration form and an abstract submission form will be available from the 15th of August on the website<\/p>\n

A registration fee of maximum 100 EUR will be collected to cover some expenses during the meeting, i.e., lunches, coffee, and conference dinner.<\/p>\n

Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We plan to start the meeting in the morning of Wednesday, November 30, and to finish on Friday, December 2, around noon. At the beginning of each day, there will be keynote talks on the solar dynamo, the role of turbulent effects in dynamo action, and global models of turbulent magneto-convection, followed by contributed talks. We also plan to reserve time to exchange as many news as possible. A detailed program will follow and be published on the website.<\/p>\n
