{"id":2114,"date":"2017-07-18T16:59:43","date_gmt":"2017-07-18T16:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hydromag.wordpress.com\/?p=2114"},"modified":"2017-07-18T16:59:43","modified_gmt":"2017-07-18T16:59:43","slug":"royal-astronomical-society-prize-won","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hydromag.eu\/index.php\/2017\/07\/18\/royal-astronomical-society-prize-won\/","title":{"rendered":"Royal Astronomical Society Prize Won"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Congratulations to\u00a0<span class=\"wf_caption\">K\u00e9lig Aujogue !<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ras.org.uk\/news-and-press\/2998-winners-of-the-ras-thesis-prizes-2016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"contentheading\">Patricia Tomkins Prize<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The prize for the best thesis in instrumentation science for astronomy and geophysics\u00a0is awarded to\u00a0<strong>Dr K\u00e9lig Aujogue<\/strong>, for the thesis entitled\u00a0<em>&#8216;Little Earth Experiment: A Journey toward the Earth\u2019s Tangent Cylinder&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00e9lig completed his PhD at Coventry University, and carried on the experimental campaign at the Laboratoire National des Champs Magn\u00e9tiques Intenses (LNCMI) in Grenoble, France, where he was using a 10 Tesla magnet.
